MStar's GSM/GPRS/EDGE Mobile Platforms offer a wide range of solutions to fulfill the need for today's diverse market segments, from the low-cost entry level phones to feature-rich multimedia handsets. All MStar solutions are powered by a highly integrated multimedia baseband engine that includes an ARM926EJ-S processor, a baseband modem, a power management unit (PMU) and comprehensive multimedia functions. Fabricated in the 65nm processor technology, these SoC's significantly reduced the system bill-of-material (BOM) by integrating essential components such as class-D amplifier, LED driver, touch panel driver, FM radio and camera ISP.

The MStar Mobile Platform provides a complete turn-key solution that greatly accelerates the handset development cycle. The flexible SW application framework and reference design suite enables the customers for rapid customization according to their requirement. Advanced data services are made possible by pre-integrating features such as WAP browser, HTML browser and MMS. Third-party SW, such as Java, can be easily ported and integrated to the MStar Mobile Platform.

Leveraging the company's strong portfolio in communication and connectivity products, the MStar Mobile Platform offers a complete line-up of companion silicon solutions, including GSM/GPR/EDGE RF transceiver, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, CMMB, RFID, that really allow customer fast integration and quick time-to-market.
